Home About Me My Philosophy Psychotherapy Hypnosis Contact

Who I am...

I am a certified Social Worker and have been providing psychotherapy and counseling services since 1979.  I have a Masters degree in Community/Counseling Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work. My undergraduate training was in Psychology with additional interests in the Performing Arts and Philosophy.  I have had advanced training in Hypnosis and in Behavioral Medicine.

Over the years I have provided psychotherapy and hypnotherapy to individuals, couples, families, children, and groups for a variety of problems, such as anxiety, depression, stress, habit control, marital conflict, etc.  I have developed and taught a number of different Behavioral Medicine programs including classes in sleep improvement, stress management, wellness, self-hypnosis, and pain management.

I maintain an active meditation practice, and have a black belt in Aikido. I am a sometimes poet who likes to kayak, bicycle, and swim. My present interests are in developing and exploring ways to integrate mind, body and spirit and in examining how the worlds of Philosophy, Literature, Art, and the Martial Arts can inform the psychotherapeutic process.
